Just sat through both seasons of The Book Group available on Hulu. Even though the characters were unlikeable jerks it was still better than so much of what's on TV in the U.S. Am also becoming addicted to Misfits despite some puzzlingly stupid actions by the characters. If I could have any one super power it would probably be super speed just because I love running and it would be great fun to travel the world in nearly an instant without having to bother with automobiles or planes or boats which I hate cause they all give me motion sickness and just recently an increasing sense of claustrophobia.
In other news, the Borders bookstore chain is going out of business. Can't say I ever really shopped there much but I like the idea of having one around when I did. Apparently sites like Amazon.com are the future of book publishing, if it has one. Don't think it's the same kind of experience of browsing through a bookstore when you can find things you didn't intend to buy and hadn't even heard of. I usually only buy books online when I already know the author or title already. Not a fan of devices like Kindle either. Nothing compares to holding an actual book in your hands. I am such a dinosaur. ROAAAR!
Feeling very depressed today for many petty reasons like the fact that I have no money or talent or much of a future. My life in general is extremely pathetic and getting more so by the day. Need to start working out every day as exercise always makes me feel so much better that it's a mystery why I don't do it constantly instead of sitting on my ass watching TV or reading or playing video games. I totally have to lose a massive amount of weight too as that's been an issue for quite a while now. Maybe I will use this blog as a way to keep track of my progress in getting back into shape if nothing else. The worse that could happen is that I might drop dead of a heart attack, right?.
